In this weeks Parsha, Yaakov Aveinu blesses Yosef's children, Ephraim & Menashe. He puts his right hand (which usually signifies the eldest) on the youngest to bless him, Yosef protests and Yaakov explains that while the eldest will be great, his brother will be greater.
Yaakov could see in his grandson's eyes that down the road, their descendants would be evil. He blessed them anyway, because he could also see that they themselves were going to be very holy men.
We bless our children on Shabbos night the very same way Yaakov blessed his grandchildren. We bless them and pray they should be as holy as Ephraim & Menashe.
Pretty cool.
