Has anyone here dealt with it personally? How did you or would you handle it. Some of it around here is somewhat subtle, rather than outright hostility.

Re: Anti-Semitism
I think most of us do on some level.
I work for the government, everyone jokes around, but nothing serious. I've had a few off the wall comments, but nothing I couldn't handle.
I'm just learned enough to take up for myself, most everyone at work knows not to be nasty.
I had a woman ask me if I were messianic, when I said no, she said, "oh", and walked away. Guess she couldn't handle a conversation with a Torah Jew. Oh well.

Mamish like right out of the blue, in front of a group of people. Should have told her yes. Her version of messianic isn't the same as ours... but it could have been an interesting conversation.Arik S. wrote:She asked you this out of the blue?

Re: Anti-Semitism
I guess messianics try so hard to pass themselves off as "Jewish" they are often mistaken for Orthodox Jews?

I don't see that. They could be passed off as "orthodox" until they open their mouths.

You know what's strange, I have been getting asked that same question quite a lot recently. I find it somewhat aggravating.

I don't. They can't handle that conversation - and I don't particularly want to have it with them. They lose, but then everyone does because they don't want to hear a word you say. They want to push their agenda, which is to spew yeshka and try to convert you. They certainly don't really want to hear your side. They never do (glocktalk).
