Prohibition of drinking blood Empty Prohibition of drinking blood

I would imagine that this falls under the Noachide laws. Since even after the flood, Noah was commanded that he and his offspring were not to eat blood, therefore it would follow that gentiles likewise cannot eat blood including food with the blood not cooked out of it.
    Thoughts?

Yeah but let's not be offensive. I am speaking seriously. I gather it is prohibited to anyone, not just Jews.

It depends on your interpretation of the sheva brachos. In those bracho's did G-d tell Noach that he could eat meat?

I believe He did did He not? However he specifically told Noah he could not eat blood.

I was under the assumption that Non Jews could eat blood .... but that may be a misconception on my part since they don't care and eat it anyway. If its not clear in the Sefer Torah then they have no way of knowing about it from the Oral Torah unless they were taught by a Rabbi.

But since Noah was given very specific instructions NOT to eat the blood, I would imagine that the prohibition to not eat it applies equally, but this is just my .02

If Noach had a prohibition by G-d, so do all men.

    OK,
    From ProfBen Tziyyon,

He pointed out to me the following:

The Talmud discusses the prohibitions of אֵֽבֶר מִן הֶחָי évĕr min hĕ-ḥai (“limb of a living animal”) and דָּם מִן הֶחָי dam min hĕ-ḥai (“blood of a living animal”), as they apply to gentiles (b'nei No'aḥ), at P'saḥim 22b and Sanhedrin 59a. The Rambam (Mishneh Torah, Hilchot M'lachim 9:10) rules explicitly and unequivocally that a gentile is permitted to consume דָּם מִן הֶחָי dam min hĕ-ḥai.

So it seems I stand corrected. Embarassed

Well it seems Rashi agrees with me, his commentary to that section of Genesis claims "the prohibition to eating flesh from a living animal, blood is included." I suppose however, we must go by the legal ruling.

Ok, so sorry to dredge up an old post, but was talking to my rebbe the other night and he said that the prohibition of drinking blood where non-Jews are concerned is that one may not partake of the blood nor the flesh of an animal while the animal remains alive, like they do in some African cultures where they tap an animal for it's blood and drink it as the animal is yet alive. If the animal is dead, there is no prohibition on gentiles on blood otherwise.
