So what do you think of him? I think in the economics dept. he is ok, but what about all the other issues? When the economy is bad, that's all anyone thinks about, but lets not forget there are many other issues facing our nation.

    Here's his website: http://www.hermancain.com/h

There's a LOT of information to read. It seems he's touched a little bit on a bunch of different subjects, other than just economics. There are some topics that are not on his site at all. I guess we'll just have to see from the debates what he really thinks.

Very Happy Very Happy Hey!! great to see you on here! I see your power must be back up.

Thanks for the link. One thing that I was thinking and what Bernie Goldberg brought up the other night on Fox, is with all this personal attack stuff and this smear campaign against Herman Cain, where is Al sharprton, Jesse Jackson and the rest?? I would imagine if Barak Obama was getting the same treatment, they would be out in force with their travelling riot to condemn all the accusations as "racist" Of course he is a "conservative" so the silence from them is deafening.
I am not sold on this man yet. Like you said. We'll see how things play out.

Very Happy I'm glad to be here... and yes, my power came back on Monday afternoon...it still took 2 days for my house to completely warm back up.

I don't like to watch Fox news, so I can't comment on that part.

As for Al Sharpton and the rest not stepping in; well, it's probably because he IS a conservative. They seem to only support the socialist types.

    I'm disappointed in Cain.

My wife showed me an article where he compared himself to Moshe Rabbeinu. As soon as I saw the article, I pretty much dumped my support of this guy.

He may be great at fixing fiscal issues, he may even have some answers for foreign policy, but I can't vote for someone who has that big of a head.

A businessman might be a nice change from a politician running the country, but I'd sure like to see Newt take apart Obama in a debate!

I am sure he could, and he has recently moved up to front runner among the potential Republican candidates. But honestly, I don't see him as electable.

Sadly, I tend to agree. Too much baggage, too polarizing for the middle of the road independents.

Well when you really look at it, first it was Perry, then Cain, now Newt. The GOP front runners, well watching their poll numbers is like doing aerobics on TV lol. I think in the end it will be Romney who gets the nomination myself.

I think that Cain has a chance against Obama.... it might not be that great, but I hope that enough people will come to realize that Obama is trying to (and is already starting to) socialize this country. Herman Cain should be able to reverse all of the bad acts that Obama has started.

Does someone's past really matter that much? I just heard on that news that some woman is coming forward that she had (PAST TENSE HERE) an affair with Cain for over 16 years. Really? REALLY?? That doesn't makes sense.

The problem now is, I think that the media and the lefties have managed to damage him enough that more than likely he won't get the nomination. He isn't Obama, he is a conservative black man who won't have the backing that Obama had and the Jessie Jacksons and Al Sharptons of the world were happy to sit back and watch. While Ironically, all the "racist" and "right wingers" i.e. Conservatives were the only ones defending him. Even the "Racist/sexist/homophobic/ultra right-wing" Fox News was the only true news channel actively defending him...
    sick.

I, unfortunately, have to concur. I just saw a new poll, with Cain only getting 10% with Romney at 24% (or 25.... but still, a lot). So sad.
