What is Haganah? Is it like Krav maga?

It is similar to Krav Maga. Mike Lee Kanerek is in fact trained in Krav. I refer to it as krav Maga on steroids. I have trained in both and have been fortunate enough to train with this man personally at the Haganah Center we have here in Pa in West Chester. He is awesome and the seminars are grueling lol.

Wasn't the first Israeli Army in 1948 called the Haganah? I remember something about it from the Movie called THE EXODUS, with Sal Mineo and Paul Newman'

Yes, Mike Lee's parents adopted him. They were Jewish and his father moved them to Israel when he was little so he could join the Haganah (it means defense) Mike names his style after the Haganah.
