| As Jews, we are the last people in the world that should ever support a government policy of gun control or any weapon control. From the Romans, to the Nazis, to the Communists, we have always at one time or another found a government turning against us and wanting us to surrender our weapons, only to later be systematically killing us. The attitude of our brethren in Israel have no doubts about the need of self defense, but it seems American Jews and sadly some in Europe seem to truly be stiffnecked when it comes to liberal policies. Too many times in our history, we have wrongly thought we have somehow properly "assimilated" and therefore relied on that as well as wealth or fame to protect us. Time and again, we have been proven wrong. |

| It's a mentality flaw that basically says: If they have guns, they will use them on us.
It's flawed because it should be like this: If we can get guns, we can protect ourselves and maybe some of the atrocities won't happen to us again. |

| While I'm not a Jew, my take on Jewish views on gun control in America is the same as Yehudah's. America is not Israel. Sadly there are alot of hate crimes from within not just from outsiders. This is very sad indeed. America should decide to take Israel's side on everything and not be swayed. But we're a melting pot, so this probably wont happen. But the G-d of Israel is in control 8)And there will be NO controlling His purposes. |

| Gun control support by Jews is due to them believing the propaganda of the left ... that gun owners can't be trusted and are probably violent and criminal in nature. Thus to support Gun control is a twisted form of tikun olam. |

| I wonder if it isn't that Jews here in America haven't just become too "spoiled" thinking: "Hey, this isn't Europe."
